Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
The terms “Junkout.uk,” “we,” “us” refer to Amelia Enterprises Ltd, the owner of this website. The terms “driver,” “Man with a Van,” “Man and Van,” “service provider,” “provider,” “you,” “your” refer to companies receiving confirmed bookings from the Junkout.uk online booking platform. The terms “customer,” “client” refer to the person making the online booking and receiving the service.
2. Introduction
2.1. Junkout.uk is an online platform that provides an advertising and booking service to Man and Van service providers.
2.2. To use our booking platform as a service provider, you must register your contact information and obtain an account. Your details must be accurate and kept up to date. All service providers must be at least 21 years old. Incomplete or outdated details may result in account suspension. We require copies of your Public Liability Insurance, Waste Carriers License, proof of address, and right to work in the UK.
2.3. Junkout.uk reserves the right to terminate this agreement without prior notice if there is a breach of these terms.
2.4. You may leave the Junkout.uk platform at any time by contacting us.
3. Service Provider Obligations
3.1. You acknowledge that you are an independent contractor responsible for your own health and safety, as well as that of your team and customers.
3.2. You are responsible for all applicable taxes on income earned through Junkout.uk.
3.3. You are responsible for paying any helper you employ.
3.4. You must conduct your business in compliance with UK laws and regulations.
3.5. Junkout.uk is not a waste clearance business. We provide an advertising and booking service for independent providers.
3.6. It is your responsibility to collect payments from customers and chase any overdue amounts.
3.7. You must ensure that invoices issued by Junkout.uk are paid on the same day they are received (typically Fridays). Failure to do so may result in suspension and additional recovery charges.
3.8. Your van must be fully taxed, insured, have a valid MOT, and be safe for operation.
3.9. You are responsible for all maintenance and repairs to your vehicle and tools.
4. Contact Details
4.1. Service providers must provide a valid email and phone number, which will be used for confirmed bookings and communication.
4.2. Contact details must be kept updated in your Junkout.uk account.
5. Service Completion Responsibilities
5.1. Bookings must be completed professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
5.2. The Service Provider must complete jobs personally or via direct employees. Outsourcing is not permitted.
5.3. After job completion, photos must be taken as proof of clearance.
6. Availability & Booking System
6.1. Service Providers must keep their availability updated on the Junkout.uk platform.
6.2. Service Providers must accept or reject bookings within 12 hours of notification. Once a booking is accepted, the provider must attend.
6.3. Late cancellations may result in account suspension.
7. Booking Acceptance & Rejection
7.1. Service Providers who accept a booking must:
- Arrive at the specified time and location.
- Keep their phone on and respond to customer calls.
7.2. Rejecting an accepted booking may result in account suspension.
7.3. Unauthorised appearance at a rejected booking will lead to permanent exclusion.
8. Booking Cancellations & Changes
8.1. Customers must cancel through Junkout.uk, which will notify the provider.
8.2. Service Providers cannot contact customers in advance to negotiate higher payments. Payment adjustments must be agreed upon on-site.
8.3. Price changes are only permitted if additional unforeseen items are discovered. Like finding another item hidden in the waste which wasn’t originally accounted for. This must be discussed with the client before loading.
9. Payments & Receipts
9.1. Service providers are responsible for collecting payments (cash, BACS, cheque, or card) and providing receipts. The receipts must have all the correct business information on them relating to the Service Providers business and comply with UK law.
9.2. Additional charges (parking, Clean Air Zone fees) must be agreed upon before work begins.
9.3. For large jobs requiring multiple loads, part payment may be requested upfront.
9.4. Junkout.uk is not responsible for non-payment by customers.
10. Prohibited Items
10.1. Service Providers must not transport hazardous, illegal, or dangerous goods. If unsure, contact Junkout.uk before proceeding.
11. Delays & Attendance
11.1. If a Service Provider is late, they must inform the customer. Delays exceeding 30 minutes must also be reported to Junkout.uk.
11.2. Non-attendance without valid reason may result in permanent suspension.
12. Equipment Requirements
12.1. Service Providers must carry at least:
- Lump hammer
- Recip saw
- Two safety helmets
- Two high-visibility jackets
- Large dumpy bags
12.2. Attending a job without required equipment may result in suspension.
13. Insurance & Legal Compliance
13.1. Providers must have Public Liability Insurance and a valid Waste Carriers Licence at all times. Customers may request proof.
14. Data Protection & Privacy
14.1. Junkout.uk complies with UK GDPR regulations. Customer details are only shared for confirmed bookings. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
15. Account Security
15.1. Provider accounts and passwords must not be shared. Any suspicious activity must be reported to Junkout.uk.
16. Termination & Suspension
16.1. Junkout.uk reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Non-compliance with these terms
- Repeated booking cancellations
- Unprofessional conduct
- Non-payment of Junkout.uk invoices
16.2. Service Providers who fail to attend a booking without notifying Junkout.uk at least two hours in advance may be suspended.
17. Health & Safety
17.1. Service Providers must wear safety boots and gloves when handling waste.
17.2. Hard hats and high-visibility jackets must be worn at licensed Waste Transfer Stations.
17.3 It is the Service Providers responsibility to ensure the weight of their vehicle is within the predetermined Gross weight for that vehicle normally 3.5tons.
18. Dispute Resolution
18.1. Any disputes between junkout.uk and service providers should first be resolved directly. If unresolved, Junkout.uk may provide mediation. However. If an agreement cannot be reached this way then a mutually agreeable third party dispute resolution resource will be used.
By using Junkout.uk, you confirm acceptance of these terms. We reserve the right to update them periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes agreement to any changes.
